How long should I wait after servicing my O2 probe?
The meter should be usable approximately 1/2 hour from being serviced. The meter reading will continue to drop slowly for approximately 24 hours after which it should stabilize for continuous use.

Why are my Meter readings jumpy?
The most common explaination for jumpy meter readings is a loose or torn membrane. It also can be caused by moisture somewhere within the system. Please contact Point Four.

What happens if I puncture or damage my cable?
Remove the unit from service as soon as possible and place in a dry environment. Please contact Point Four.

Why won't my meter adjust to 101% Sat?
The unit may have excessive dirt build-up on the membrane. The electrolyte within the probe may be dry. There may be excessive tarnishing on the cathode.

How often should I service my O2 probe?
It depends on use and the size of electrolyte reservoir. An O2 probe should be re-serviced when the electrolyte is 90% used or a white ring is seen around the edge of the probe cap. An O2 probe should also be serviced when the calibration value cannot be attained. i.e; cannot calibrate to 101% Sat.

What if my meter reads a value of more than 0 on the O2 setting when the probe is dry?
The meter has moisture within the system and must be sent to the manufacturer for servicing.

How long does the battery last in my Oxyguard Handy?
The 9V battery should last at least 1000 operating hours.

Does the oxyguard probe membrane need to be kept moist?
No, it is not necessary to keep the oxyguard membrane moist.
